Mike Petre Takes Over SJC Women's BBall Program
Looks to spread his winning ways on the college level.
Mike Petre has been named the head coach of the women's basketball program, according to a statement released by the school.
Petre takes over for Kris Davis, who resigned from the post earlier this year after six seasons.
“I am incredibly excited about the opportunity to coach at the next level,” said Petre, who had a 220-94 record as a high school coach at North Babylon and East Islip. “I hope my experiences in high school coaching have prepared me well for the new challenges ahead. I can't wait to meet the players and build upon the solid foundation that already exists at St Joseph's.”
