MoCA L.I.ghts Is Back Thursday Night In Patchogue

The Patchogue Arts Council event will run nightly from 6 to 11 p.m. through the 16th.

PATCHOGUE, NY — Patchogue Village will be transformed with moving art and light installations starting Thursday night.

The Patchogue Arts Council's MoCA L.I.ghts 2022 will run nightly from 6 to 11 p.m. through the 16th.

The program includes a series of compelling, site-specific artist-designed light works that include projection, video, animation, and gifs, according to the arts council's website.

Installations will take place on the facades of various architecture throughout the village, such as the Patchogue Theatre for the Performing Arts marquee, and pop-up projected galleries, officials said.

NIGHT VISIONS pop-up projected gallery screens will be placed in locations throughout the village and will create "an immersive art gallery experience for the community," officials said.

One location is the Better Man Distilling CO, which will be offering a special glow-in-the-dark drink special — the Night Visions Cocktail — during the event.

Works by selected artists will also be projected and screened at selected downtown locations including Roe Walkway Plaza, according to officials.
