Call to Artists
The Brookhaven Arts and Humanities Council, (BAHC), and the South Bay Art Association (SBAA) are inviting artists to paint en plein air along the Great South Bay, from Bellport to Patchogue, Bayport, Blue Point, Sayville to West Sayville. Event will be limited to 30 plein air Artists age 18 and older on a first come first serve basis. Artists will paint Friday, August 22 and Saturday August 23, (they can paint Thursday evening if their canvases/paper/supports are stamped). Artists, please try to register by July 15th to ensure participation.The paintings will be on display for public viewing and sale at the Phoenix Fine Arts Gallery, 139 South Country Rd., Bellport, from August 28 to September 20, All are welcome to attend an artists reception on September 7th, 1pm to 4pm.
Proceeds from this event will be used to fund future events within the SBAA/BAHC organizations.
