Pat-Med Alum Joins Toronto Blue Jays

Class of 2009 graduate and Medford native, Marcus Stroman, is being drafted onto the Toronto Blue Jays as a result of the Major Leage Baseball (MLB) draft on Monday.

Stroman, who is reported as being the number 22 draft pick, posted his excitement on his Twitter page.

"Excited to be drafted by THE Toronto Blue Jays! Enjoying this moment with family and friends!," Stroman wrote.

GoDuke.com reports that Stroman is Duke University's first-ever, first round pick in the school's history. Stroman was in Duke University scouting videos posted online.
