• Mastic Beach man shot in leg in dispute outside Neighborhood Road gas station, cops say (greaterlongisland.com) — A man injured in an overnight shooting in Mastic Beach was taken to NYU Langone Hospital-Suffolk in Patchogue with non-life-threatening injuries, according to Suffolk police. Officers say an argument at a Neighborhood Road gas station escalated when a homeless man allegedly shot the victim in the leg before being arrested and charged with assault.
