Patchogue-Medford High School Graduation Ceremony Postponed

PATCHOGUE, NY — A graduation ceremony scheduled for Tuesday evening at Patchogue-Medford High School was postponed until Wednesday evening. The school district announced the delay on its website.

"The inclement weather and the need to assure the safety of all of our students and guests has necessitated this postponement," school officials wrote.

The ceremony was rescheduled to Wednesday at 6 p.m.

The National Weather Service forecast called for showers and possibly even a thunderstorm for the area before 2. p.m. on Tuesday. A chance of showers and even more thunderstorms were possible later into the evening as well, with new rainfall amounts of as much as a quarter of an inch and even higher in some places.
