Patchogue-Medford School Budget, Trustee Election Next Tuesday
Here's what you need to know before heading to the polls.
PATCHOGUE, NY — Residents in the Patchogue-Medford School District will head to the polls on next Tuesday to cast their ballots for a proposed $123,273,681 spending plan for the 2022-23 school year and to elect two school board trustees.
The proposed spending plan represents a $12,246,707, or roughly six percent, spending increase over the current year and it comes with a $4,144,427, or 3.48 percent, hike in the school tax levy.
Two seats are also up for grabs on the Patchogue-Medford Board of Education.

Incumbent Thomas Donofrio, and newcomer, Francis Salazaar, are running unopposed.
The terms will run from July 1, 2022, through June 30, 2025.

Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the following district polling places:
- District No. 1: South Ocean Middle School
- District No. 2: Medford Elementary School
- District No. 3: Saxton Middle School
- District No. 4: Tremont Elementary School
- District No. 5: Eagle Elementary School
