Patchogue Resident Wins Prestigious Award at Farmingdale State College

Congrats to Suzanne Cerruto!

Patchogue resident Suzanne Cerruto has won the 2016 CARES Award from Farmingdale State College, for her exemplary work on behalf of students, faculty and staff.

Cerruto is a Secretary 1 in the college’s Registrar’s Office. The CARES Award (Commendation and Recognition for Exceptional Service), is awarded by Farmingdale President Hubert Keen once a year.

A Farmingdale alumna, Cerruto holds an Associate in Applied Science degree in Ornamental Horticulture. She joined the Farmingdale staff in 2010, and was promoted to her current position in 2014.

Cerruto is also extremely active in the Patchogue community. She has been a member of the Patchogue Church of the Nazarene since 1989, where she sits on the Christian Training and Ministry Board and heads the hospitality ministry. She is also a volunteer at the annual Play for Peace soccer tournament and the annual Christmas Shoebox drive, and a member of the Suffolk Bike Riders Association and the Good News Bowling League.
