Patchogue’s ‘Midnight On Main’ Will Go On Saturday Despite Weather
Officials will review weather conditions again Saturday, Greater Chamber of Commerce Executive Director David Kennedy said.

PATCHOGUE, NY — Patchogue Village officials have decided to move forward with the “Midnight on Main” New Year’s Eve ball rise and fireworks display despite the threat of rain.
The decision was made “after much consideration of the weather forecast,” Greater Patchogue Chamber of Commerce Executive Director David Kennedy said in an email to members.
“We recognize weather conditions might change and we still leave open the possibility we may need to cancel, but as of right now, while we expect some rain, the light winds and warmer than normal temperatures will still allow us to run this event safely and as planned,” he added.

Officials will review the weather forecast again Saturday morning and will post alerts if there are any changes, Kennedy said.
Revelers are advised to prepare and dress for rain, “but still expect a wonderful time as the rain as currently forecasted will not hinder the rising of the Patchogue New Year's Eve ball and display of Grucci Grand Illuminations,” he said.
