Pat-Med Board Of Education Election ~ BUNNIE SCHILLER

Hi, my name is Bunnie Schiller and this year I am running for the Patchogue-Medford Board of Education. I have three children in the district. Two currently attending our High School, one in ninth grade and one in twelfth grade as well as one attending Eagle Elementary in first grade.

 I have been an active member on my children’s school PTAs, as well as being a parent volunteer/community organizer for our High School Robotics Team 329. I have also been involved in, as well as organized a variety of community service events and fundraisers. I have worked with several local politicians on behalf of both our students and our community. I have goals to help not only our schools but also the community as a whole. This is why I believe that I would be an efficient member on the Board of Education.  

 We have several important issues facing our district. Of course there is Common Core, but there are also other issues that need to be addressed. These include but are not limited to: Class size, transportation, curriculum, and the school lunch program. My goal is to listen to the community members and make the best decision possible for our students and our community as well. I plan on taking on these issues head on, to not only preserve but to continue to build upon having a successful public education for our Patchogue-Medford community now and moving forward into the future.

 It would be my pleasure to serve as a Trustee on the Patchogue-Medford Board Of Education. As a parent with three children in the district I believe that we are all in this together and that I would be a great asset as well as voice for our children and community on this Board. I truly want to do what’s going to benefit everyone and make changes for the better. I hope you agree that I can achieve these goals by supporting me in the Board of Education election on May 20th.
