Here are the top four stories today in Patchogue:

1. The proposal to improve the air system at the Patchogue-Medford School District's classrooms did not pass. Most residents voted no on the $45- million proposal to be invested in new ventilation and air conditioning system. (Patch)
2. Pinball Long Island is to be open in Patchogue. The new space is expected to be at 44 W. Main St. Services, including a vintage room with pinball machines themed with movies, music, and more. (Patch)
   
3. Voters who need to request an absentee ballot have until Monday, Oct. 24, to apply. Requests can be made by letter, fax, or online at www.vote411.org. (CPLIB)
4. Another Fall Festival is coming to Patchogue! The host will be the golf simulator bar and restaurant, Birdies. The event kicks off Sunday, featuring live music, pumpkin beers, food , and a costume contest. A 50 percent discount will be offered if you would like to golf. (Patch)
