Platinum Day Spa Opens on Main Street

Location offers spa and salon services.

Platinum Day Spa held its Friday afternoon at its new location on 50 W Main St. in Patchogue.

Running her own business has been a longtime goal for Platinum owner Tracey Scafidi. Scafidi has worked as a nail technician before opening the business.

"I knew, once I went into nails, that I would open my own business," Scafidi said, "Now, my new goal is to work extremely hard to make Platinum a great place to come relieve stress."

Scafidi has been working with the architect to renovate the space to accommodate a premium spa since July.

Platinum's various services include a salon for men and women, massages, a variety of manicures and pedicures, face and body waxing and reflexology therapy to promote wellness. Some of the specialty services include the decadent-sounding champagne and rose pedicure, hot stone massages and hydrolifting facials.

Lorice Fiala, president of the Patchogue Chamber of Commerce, commented, "It's beautiful. We needed something like this. We're all going to get in shape and be beautiful."

Platinum joins several other salons that are open on Main Street in Patchogue, such as , and .

The grand opening was attended by local business owners, members, Councilman Tim Mazzei and Assemblyman Dean Murray.

Platinum Day Spa's hours for the holiday season are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.
