PMHS Robotics Competes in NYC, Heading to St. Louis
Team receives Engineering Inspiration Award, bringing them to the St. Louis finals.
's Robotics Team 329 competed at the Jacob Javits Center in New York City last weekend for a regional competition, and will be moving on to this year's finals in St. Louis, MO.
Danielle Oldis, the team's advisor, said that the team placed in fourth competing against 66 teams from around the world.
The team will get to move on to the finals as a result of receiving the Engineering Inspiration Award at the competition.

"We will be competing against the other 50 regional winners for the national award," Oldis said. "There will be 350 teams competing at this event from 46 nations around the world."
In addition, Oldis said that last week's competition is bringing new opportunities for the team.

"We have been invited to build a robot for a new math museum that is opening in December in Manhattan," Oldis said.
In addition, Oldis said a London-based film crew will be focusing a documentary about the robotics program on Team 329's journey through last week's competition, which will be used to promote the program in England.
