Police: Medford Teens Charged in Attempted Armed Robbery in N. Patchogue

Incident occurred Saturday night.

A pair of Medford teens were arrested soon after they attempted to rob a man in North Patchogue Saturday night, police said.

Joseph Montesano, 18, and Katelyn Curry, 17, both face one count of first degree robbery following the incident on Ohls Street, police said.

Police said Montesano and Curry, armed with a handgun, demanded cash from a man who was walking on the street at about 10:15 p.m. Saturday. It does not appear Montesano and Curry received any proceeds from the victim, police said. No injuries were reported. The teens were arrested about an hour later.
