Police Seek Man Who Punched Good Samaritan After Skipping Out on Ferry Fare
BREAKING: He skipped out on his ferry fare and then punched a man in the face. Police are now asking for help to find him.
Police are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the man involved in an assault at a ferry terminal in Patchogue last month.
According to police, a man left the Davis Park Ferry Terminal without paying for his ferry ride on July 17 at approximately 7:40 p.m. When he was stopped by ferry employees, the man pushed an employee out of his way. A good Samaritan intervened, and the suspect punched the man in the face several times.
The man was described as white, in his 20s or 30s, 6-foot-4 or taller, with a muscular build. He was unshaven, with a reddish-colored beard and short light brown hair. He has a script tattoo with black lettering on his forearm. He was wearing a white bucket hat, with a white tank top and blue shorts. He was accompanied by a dark-skinned female, possibly Hispanic or Italian.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
