Raiders Win Against Sachem East, 2-1
Pat-Med Girls Bowling team begins the season with a victory.
In the first match of the season, the Patchogue-Medford Raiders varsity girls bowling team beat Sachem East, 2-1 Monday at in Patchogue.
High Bowlers: Zue Bademci with a series of 568 and a high game of 205 and Jessica Calandra with a series of 581 and a high game of 203.
Quote: Coach Chris Varley is glad that they started off with a victory and is looking forward to the season. "We had a good match today. We won two out of the three matches. A couple of years ago I know that they went all the way to the states. We're not at that level yet but judging by today, we're competitive," Varley said.

Bottom Line: According to Varley, the big hitters of the team all stepped up at the match as expected. Sophomore Jessica Calandra and Senior Zue Bademci won all three of their matches. Seventh grader Brittany Arne from Saxton Middle School and Samantha Kern, a senior, won two of their three matches.
Who's Next? Patchogue-Medford will play against Sachem North, 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday Dec. 7 at Bowl Long Island in Patchogue.
