Report: Hunger Games Popularizes Patchogue Archery Range

Local archery business tells Newsday they receive uptick in visits since the popular film released.

The Hunger Games film may have brought favorable odds to Patchogue's Smith Point Archery.

According to Newsday, the location has seen more kids coming to learn the sport after seeing the popular movie's heroine, Katniss Everdeen, use one for hunting.

"We've got a lot of people coming in with bows they've dug out of the attic or closet," Craig Wagner, an archery instructor, tells Newsday.
