South Country School Budget, Trustee Election Next Tuesday
Here's what you need to know before heading to the polls.
SOUTH COUNTRY, NY — Residents in the South Country School District will head to the polls next Tuesday to cast their ballots for a proposed $142,798,980 million spending plan for the 2022-23 school year and to elect four school board trustees.
The proposed spending plan represents a $2,652,302 spending increase over the current year and it comes with a 1.75 percent hike in the school tax levy.
Four seats are also up for grabs on the South Country Board of Education.

Incumbent E. Anne Hayes is seeking re-election, while 11 other candidates are seeking new posts. They include former school board president Gregory Miglino, as well as Joseph Barry, Gino Cruz, Rafyel Flippen, Pat Ingrassia, Tara Kavanagh, Marian McKenna, Alesia Olsen, Amy Price, Christopher Ross, and Spencer Eugene Stickley.
