SUFFOLK COUNTY, NY — Suffolk Police will be hosting a drive-thru food drive at several locations across the county to help feed residents amid the coronavirus crisis. The drive, which will take place on May 1, will be collecting food and other items to donate to food pantries in the area.

Donations will be collected between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. and all donations must be in bags before arriving to the collection drive. Suggested items include canned meats and vegetables, rice, pasta, personal hygiene products, baby items and gift cards.

Volunteers will also collect donations to supply to hospital staff including protein snacks or drinks, candy and other individually packed items. These items should be packed separately from donations made to benefit food pantries and clearly marked.
