Suffolk Woman Charged With Animal Cruelty; 35 Cats Removed From Home

BREAKING: The SPCA says that once the cats have been treated and are healthy, they will be available for adoption.

MASTIC, NY – A 45-year-old woman was arrested on an animal cruelty charge Monday for failing "to provide proper sustenance" for nearly three dozen cats at her Mastic home, according to the Suffolk County SPCA.

Donna Spall, of the unit block of Midland Avenue, is currently charged with animal neglect, but additional charges may be added, SPCA officials said.

Once the cats have been treated and are healthy, they will be available for adoption.

Spall will appear in First District Court in Central Islip on May 25.
