Teen Charged With Murder Of 17-Year Old In East Patchogue: Cops
He was charged with second degree murder after shooting a 17-year old last year, police say.
EAST PATCHOGUE, NY — A Bellport teen has been charged with the 2018 murder of a 17-year old East Patchogue resident, police said.
According to Suffolk County Police, following an investigation, homicide squad detectives arrested Melquisedec Antonio Sanchez-Hernandez at 6:40 a.m. on Monday at the intersection of Patchogue Avenue and Station Road in North Bellport.
Sanchez-Hernandez, 17, Station Road, was charged with second degree murder; he is being held overnight at the Sixth Precinct and is scheduled for arraignment at First District Court in Central Islip on Tuesday, police said.

On July 3, 2018 at 3:32 a.m., Fifth Precinct police officers responded to Hampton Avenue in East Patchogue after a 911 caller reported a possible gunshot victim outside the residence, police said.
When officers arrived, they discovered Emilio Sanchez Maldonado, 17, a resident of the home, had been shot; he was pronounced dead at the scene by a physician assistant from the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner, police said.
