Three from Pat-Med Place at County Wrestling Tournament

From Patch-Med Schools: Three Patchogue-Medford wrestlers placed at the Suffolk County championships this weekend at Suffolk County Community College Brentwood.

Chris Gomez, wrestling at 138 pounds, lost to Anthony Sobotker from North Babylon, 5-4, in the championship bout to place second.

In the 145-pound final, Ryan Burgbacher lost to Hauppauge’s Dan Mauriello, 5-4, and placed second.

Dylan Gianikos placed third at 220 pounds.

All three will wrestle at the New York State tournament on February 23-24 in Albany at Times Union Center.
