UPDATE: Police ID Woman Killed In Crash Between SUV, School Bus
Police have released new information in Thursday morning's fatal crash.

EAST PATCHOGUE, NY – Suffolk Police have identified the woman who was killed in a crash between an SUV and a school bus Thursday morning.
According to police, 38-year-old Jennifer Dowling was driving a 2017 Nissan Armada east on the Sunrise Highway service road when her vehicle struck the rear of a 2013 Blue Bird full-size school bus that was parked on the shoulder near Washington Avenue in East Patchogue at about 8:25 a.m.
Dowling, of Shirley, was transported to Long Island Medical Center in East Patchogue where she was pronounced dead. The driver of the bus, Thomas Noble, 64, of Shirley, who was alone on the bus, was not injured.

Motor Carrier Safety Section officers conducted a safety check on the bus at the scene and the Nissan was impounded for a safety check. Detectives are asking anyone with information on this crash to call the Fifth Squad at 631-854-8552.
