• Putnam sales tax revenue soars (midhudsonnews.com) — Patterson is set to receive $139,696 from July’s sharply higher Putnam County sales tax collections, boosted by gas prices, back-to-school shopping, and car sales. Countywide revenue topped $18.5 million over three months, and lawmakers will review the surge and municipal distributions at the Legislature’s Audit Committee meeting tonight.
