Arts on the Lake

Saturday, September 26th at 4:30 p.m. Arts on the Lake's company in residence, PCDP, presents dances inspired by the 250th anniversary of our country's Declaration of Independence and Revolution. The program features repertory from modern dance revolutionary Isadora Duncan ("Revolutionary," "The Crossing," and "Nightride"), along with reimagined work in the Duncan technique by Faith Kimberling and Marie Carstens. Additional pieces range from elegant, stirring work by Erin Jennings featuring music by local composer Andres Luis Virola, to an homage created by Steven Jeltsch expressing the emotional volatility experienced by loved ones waiting at home as soldiers go to war.
 After-Party Fundraising Reception (Saturday, 6:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.) Join us for a light reception in the lower gallery of Arts on the Lake following Saturday's performance. Tickets can be purchased in advance in combination with the show for $40 (Dance Supporter ticket) or separately at the door for $25. Regular performance tickets may also be purchased in advance or at the door for $25.Support and Acknowledgments Thank you to the Community Foundations of the Hudson Valley and REV250 for supporting this program. PCDP programs are also supported in part through the Putnam Arts Link Grant Program, the NYS Council on the Arts with support from the Governor’s Office, and the NYS Legislature.

Lasdon Public Gardens and & Veterans Memorial

The 9th District of Federated Garden Clubs of NY State is thrilled to announce its upcoming flower show which will be held at Lasdon Park in Katonah, NY, on Friday, Oct.2 from 2 - 4 pm, Saturday, Oct. 3 from 10 am - 3 pm, and Sunday, Oct. 4 from 10 am -2 pm.&nbsp; "Autumn Splendor" will celebrate the beauty the season brings to our gardens, woodlands, and creative spirits.&nbsp; The 18 garden clubs of the 9th district will feature members' floral designs, botanical arts and crafts, photography, horticultural specimens and educational displays.&nbsp;Please join us for this free event which will be held at the main house at Lasdon Park, located at 2610 Amawalk Road, Route 35 in Katonah, NY.&nbsp;
