Grab a Bite at The Saloon
The Saloon in Pearl River offers delicious food and a family-friendly atmosphere.

The Saloon, a Pearl River landmark, mixes the Northeast with the Old West.
The inviting atmosphere with free popcorn, an arcade for the kids, two bars and roomy wooden booths invites all ages.
Owners Bridget Killen and Shawn Casey kept the look and feel of the bar-restaurant when they took it over eleven years ago. With beautiful wood paneling covering all the walls, bottle cap shaped tables by the bar and shiny brass railings, The Saloon most certainly has the feel of an old world tavern.

One of the signature features of the establishment is the antique train that runs around the top of the bar right as you enter the restaurant. Children who come in with their families often enjoy watching the train, which sometimes advertises for Blue Hill, drive around the top of the bar. They particularly enjoy seeing the Thomas and Percy trains from the children’s television show “Thomas the Tank Engine”.
Being located in the hamlet of Pearl River, The Saloon is a well known feature of the community. The establishment employs many of the Pearl River locals and high school students. This also contributes to the atmosphere, knowing that the town is giving back to the locals.

With The Saloon’s varied menu it’s hard to decide what to eat, the menu consists of American, Barbecue, British, French, German, Irish, Mexican, and more. Killen said that that she has been told their French Dip, Cole Slaw and Zuppa De Clams are some of the best her customers have had.
As far as drinks are concerned, The Saloon has a full bar, stocked with domestic and imported beers, with one of their specialties being Guinness on tap. Visiting the restaurant most nights you’ll find happy hour specials, food specials, events, karaoke night and sometimes even a live band or a DJ.
For the holidays, Killen’s mother comes in and decorates the restaurant from top to bottom. This is no small job by any means; she decorates for not just the big holidays, but every holiday from Memorial Day to Halloween to Christmas. The only days that the restaurant is closed on are Thanksgiving and Christmas.
