Justice for Others
A FAIR TRADE INITIATIVE TO COMBAT HUMAN TRAFFICKING Presentation sponsored by the Counseling Honor Society of LIU Hudson at Rockland

There are more people sold into slavery today than at the height of the trans-Atlantic slave trade. Human trafficking involves women, children and men exploited by forced labor, debt bondage, and forced prostitution. It affects millions of people worldwide, including within the U.S.
The Others - Trade for Hope is The Salvation Army Fair Trade Initiative which offers women the opportunity to create and sell artisan handicrafts around the world. The women involved are often those who had been forced into commercial sex work, the victims of human trafficking, or living with HIV. The Others - Trade for Hope provides a means by which women can support themselves, their children and their communities through sustainable Trade for Hope partnerships.
*FAIR TRADE PRODUCTS WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE*
