Pear River Resident New President Of ARC Rockland
Jackie Curtiss of Pearl River New York was inaugurated as President of The Arc Rockland during a ceremony.

From The ARC of Rockland: Jackie Curtiss of Pearl River New York was inaugurated as President of The Arc Rockland during a May 15 ceremony at The Arc headquarters in Congers, NY.
In accepting the positon, Ms. Curtiss thanked outgoing president Richard Sirota “for his leadership over the years and for the wealth of knowledge he brings to the table. I will definitely rely on him and the other Board members for their counsel and support in the coming months. The Arc staff, led by CEO Carmine Marchionda, has brought enthusiasm, inspiration and new ideas to this agency. I am thrilled to be a part of that.”
Prior to her current positon, Ms. Curtiss served on The Arc Rockland’s Children’s Services Committee and The Guardianship Committee. “My experiences there gave me an appreciation for the amount of work and the dedication necessary to maintain The Arc’s reputation for excellence.”

Ms. Curtiss has been a Special Olympics coach for a decade, and she was a member of the Pearl River School Board for 15 years. She and husband Kenny are parents of three: Ryan, Danny and Kelly.
The Arc Rockland provides supports and services to more than 1200 people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Offerings include a pre-school, residential services, recreation, employment opportunities, day services and a primary care medical practice.
