It is officially autumn! Thank you all for your continued support of the Market - we hope to be back next year, bigger and better. This week we welcome a new vendor: Nanuet’s own “Pickle Man”!
Barefoot Brothers Books will be back, as well as Penny Lick Ice Cream with some new seasonal flavors. Our Chamber of Commerce Guest will be one of the Market’s sponsors: Luigi O’ Grady’s Deli. The deli will be featuring their award-winning chili, their popular harvest wrap made with local apples, cookies, and some of their to-go items. Rockland Roots truck will also have their delicious local foods menu. Come for lunch, and pick up dinner! Another featured guest will be Spice Revolution. As always, please stop by our Market tables to do a kids’ craft, say hello, or grab a recipe. Our featured seasonal recipes this week are: Roasted Butternut Squash, and Pork Chops with Maple Apple Acorn Squash. Many items for both recipes can be found at our farm stalls.
We also will be having a special visit from Tall Pines Nursery School, with Mr. Kurt performing at 1 p.m. We have 6 weeks left, and we are making the most of it! Besides a grand finale on Halloween, the Market will be featuring a “crafter’s day” sponsored by The River featuring handmade items by local artisans alongside the Farmers’ Market vendors on October 24. We will also be at Pearl River Day on October 11 - stop by and get a free Farmers’ Market magnet. Thank you, and see you Friday-
