12 Years in Prison for 72-year-old Cortlandt Pedophile

A Cortlandt senior citizen has been sentenced to 12 years in prison for repeated sex assaults of children.

Calman Greenburg, 74, was sentenced Wednesday, Acting Westchester County District Attorney James A. McCarty announced.

In 2015, Greenburg was charged with one count of Course of Sexual Conduct Against a Child in the First Degree, a Class “B” Felony — and police said then that more victims had come forward.

And by May 18, 2016, when he pleaded guilty, Greenburg, of 254 Westchester Ave. in Buchanan, was accused of repeatedly assaulting three Westchester children, all younger than 13.

He pleaded guilty to:

 two counts of Course of Sexual Conduct in the First Degree, a class “B” Violent Felony,

 one count of Course of Sexual Conduct Against a Child in the Second Degree, a class “D” Violent Felony.

The DA said Greenburg pleaded to sexually assaulting three children between June 1, 2004 and February 1, 2010 — assaults that involved multiple acts of sexual abuse, rape and oral sexual conduct.

The arrest took place after an intensive investigation by the New York State Police and the Special Prosecutions Division of the Westchester County District Attorney’s Office.

Along with his prison sentence, Greenburg must register as a sex offender. He may also be subject to civil confinement after he has served his sentence.

Assistant District Attorney Christine Cervasio of the Child Abuse Bureau and Assistant District Attorney Christine Hatfield, Deputy Bureau Chief of the Child Abuse Bureau prosecuted the case.
