2 Charged With Meth Possession In Peekskill

Police noticed a suspicious vehicle near Charles Point Park around 1 a.m. Sunday.

PEEKSKILL, NY — Westchester County Police arrested two men early Sunday morning after they were found in possession of methamphetamine in Peekskill.

Officers were traveling on John Walsh Boulevard shortly before 1 a.m. Sunday when they observed a suspicious vehicle parked in the vicinity of Charles Point Park. Two men were found inside the vehicle.

Police said after further investigation officers recovered half an ounce of methamphetamine, two scales and other materials used for packaging narcotics.

Michael O’Leary, 50, of Arlington Avenue, Bronx, and Alberto Calderon, 27, of Hinsdale Avenue, Brooklyn, were taken into custody. They are each charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree (Intent to Sell) and two counts of Criminal Use of Drug Paraphernalia. O’Leary was also charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 4th Degree, also a felony.

Both were held overnight at Westchester County Police headquarters in Hawthorne and were arraigned Monday in Peekskill City Court.
