CORTLANDT, NY — New York state police from Troop K said they had removed 11 impaired drivers from the roads over the weekend. Three of the arrests were in Cortlandt.
On June 28, State Police from SP Cortlandt arrested Walter Lara, 25, of Peekskill, NY, for DWI. He was traveling on State Route 6 in the town of Cortlandt, when he was stopped for a violation of the vehicle and traffic law. Investigation revealed he was under the influence of alcohol, police alleged.
On June 28, State Police from SP Cortlandt arrested Paul E. Quizhpi Sacasari, 34, of Peekskill, NY, for DWI. He was traveling on Hudson Avenue in the city of Peekskill, when he was stopped for a violation of the vehicle and traffic law. Investigation revealed he was under the influence of alcohol, police said.

On June 30, State Police from SP Cortlandt arrested Joseph Quash, 29, of Medford, NY, for DWI with a prior conviction, a class E felony. He was traveling on State Route 9 in the town of Cortlandt, when he was stopped for a violation of the vehicle and traffic law. Investigation revealed he was under the influence of alcohol, police alleged.
