73-Year-Old Child Sex Abuser Pleads Guilty in Westchester
The Buchanan resident faced charges connected to the rape and abuse of three children under 13.

The 73-year-old Buchanan man accused of rape and sexual abuse of three children under 13 has pleaded guilty, Acting Westchester County District Attorney James A. McCarty announced.
Calman Greenburg, 73, pled guilty Wednesday to:
- two counts of Course of Sexual Conduct in the First Degree, a class “B” Violent Felony,
- one count of Course of Sexual Conduct Against a Child in the Second Degree, a class “D” Violent Felony.
Law enforcement officials said Greenburg sexually assaulted three Westchester children who were all younger than 13 years old -- involving multiple acts of sexual abuse, rape and oral sexual conduct -- between June 1, 2004 and February 1, 2010.

After an intensive investigation conducted by the New York State Police and the Special Prosecutions Division of the Westchester County District Attorney’s Office, Greenburg was arrested on July 18, 2015. After the investigation, more victims came forward reporting they were abused by him.

After his guilty plea, Greenburg was remanded to the Westchester County Jail awaiting sentencing on July 20, 2016.
He faces a determinate sentence of between 5 and 25 years in state prison and an additional period of post-release supervision of between 5 and 20 years.
Assistant District Attorney Christine Cervasio of the Child Abuse Bureau and Assistant District Attorney Christine Hatfield, Deputy Bureau Chief of the Child Abuse Bureau are prosecuting the case.
