The Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival presents "All Is Calm", the story of the famous 1914 Christmas Truce.

The Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival presents All is Calm, directed by Moritz von Stuelpnager, on Friday, December 12 and Saturday, December 13 at St. Mary-in-the-Highlands in Cold Spring, New York.
All is Calm, written by Peter Rothstein, with musical arrangements by Erick Lichte and Timothy C. Takach, tells the story of the famous 1914 Christmas Truce through the inspiring and poignant words of WWI soldiers. This year marks the 100th anniversary of that extraordinary night, when British and German soldiers put down their arms on Christmas Eve to exchange greetings and gifts. Some even enjoyed a friendly game of soccer. The performance includes Christmas carols from England, France and Germany.
