UPDATE: Police captured a man accused of trying to rob a supermarket on the Albany Post Road Friday night who is also a suspect in the Peekskill bank robbery earlier that day.
PEEKSKILL, NY — An M&T Bank branch was robbed Friday afternoon in downtown Peekskill, according to news reports.
The robbery took place at 1019 Park St., which was Hudson City Savings Bank before it became a branch of M&T Bank, the Daily Voice reported.
