For eight years during the Revolutionary War, Massachusetts volunteer Lemuel Snow spent much of his time in the Hudson Highlands. From Peekskill to Saratoga, Valley Forge, Monmouth, and Providence, he faced the hardships that every soldier endured. He witnessed the execution of British officer, Major John Andre; was with Washington at Verplanck's Point to greet Rochambeau; witnessed the Evacuation of New York at the war's end; and attended Washington's farewell. After the war, he returned to Barnstable, Massachusetts, before moving his family west to settle in what would become Indiana. This story is an epic tale of one man's love for his country and family.
