CORTLANDT, NY – State police are investigating a one-car crash on the Bear Mountain Bridge Road, also known as the Goat Trail. A Yorktown 20-year-old lost control and hit a rock wall Thursday, police said.

At 2:07 p.m. Thursday, New York State Police from the Cortlandt barracks were dispatched to a one-car personal injury auto collision that occurred on State Route 202. An investigation indicates that a Toyota Corolla operated by Nazariy Myniv, 20, of Yorktown Heights, New York, was traveling southbound on Bear Mountain Bridge Road, police said.

Myniv reportedly entered the northbound lanes and struck a rock wall after he lost control of the vehicle. Cortlandt EMS responded to the scene and transported Myniv to the Bear Mountain Circle where he was airlifted to Westchester Medical Center. The crash remains under investigation.
