Cat Left on Train Platform, Cops Seek Owner

Commuters in Cortlandt found themselves with a new companion at the station Thursday morning.

CORTLANDT, NY — It's not exactly the Lost Luggage Department, the Metro-North Train Station platform in Cortlandt.

But someone left a tan Woolrich carrycase on the platform. With a cat inside.

Troopers from the Cortlandt barracks were dispatched to the station at 7:57 a.m. Thursday, during the morning commute, for a report of a found cat.

She's a senior citizen, and she's black, tan, and brown.

Anyone with information about their new feline friend is asked to call (914) 769-2600 and request to speak with a Trooper at the Cortlandt barracks, police said.
