Chimney Fire Burns Peekskill Home Overnight

The blaze started in the chimney but then the roof caught on fire.

PEEKSKILL, NY — Firefighters were called out to 10 Oak Ridge Parkway Thursday night for a working structure fire.

Originally a chimney fire, the blaze spread to the second floor and roof.

Peekskill firefighters received assistance from Buchanan, Continental Village, Mohegan and Montrose. The Peekskill Communty Volunteer Ambulance Corps was also at the scene.
