Family Owned Restaurant Hosts Fundraising Dinner for My Brother Vinny to Celebrate
A Northern Westchester restaurant family known for celebrating life's memorable moments for others will celebrate their own milestone in November. Cortlandt Colonial Manor Restaurant and the Liaskos family will be celebrating their 40th Anniversary in business on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at 6pm by hosting a special grand fundraiser dinner to benefit My Brother Vinny.
The dinner will celebrate the dedicated family-owned restaurant as well as raise funds for the mission of My Brother Vinny, a non-profit organization dedicated to distributing food, clothing and furniture to US Veterans, outreach groups, shelters and families in need in the greater Westchester County area.
The theme of the dinner and event will be “Past, Present, and Future.” Restaurant photos, advertisements, and other memorabilia from four decades will be on display. Additionally, those attending are encouraged to bring old photos that were taken at the restaurant over the decades. One lucky winner with best old photo will receive a $100. Some of the restaurant's popular dinner menu selections from the past and present will be featured while new selections that will soon be added to the menu will be unveiled.

Cortlandt Colonial Manor Restaurant is a 90 seat restaurant and 200 seat catering venue located in Northern Westchester County in the Town of Cortlandt. NY. Visit www.CortlandtColonial.com for information.
The restaurant was originally opened on October 9, 1978 as a partnership between three young Greek immigrants with a vision and an excellent work ethic—George Liaskos, Peter Tsagarakis, and Steve Hanziargiriou. Over the years, the two partners were bought out and the business was taken over exclusively by George and his family and is still owned and operated to this day by the Liaskos family.
In addition to George, and his wife, Kathy, the matriarch of the family, the restaurant is now operated by the second generation of the Liaskos family—brother and sister, Evan Liaskos and Irene Flor. Evan serves as the General Manager/Executive Chef and is a graduate of the famed Culinary Institute of America. Irene is a graduate of the University of New Haven School of Hospitality.
The Cortlandt Colonial Manor is open for lunch and dinner daily, and hosts weddings and special events celebrating all types of life's occasions. The business is well known as a family-owned and operated restaurant and catering facility with deep roots in the community. It is currently one of the oldest restaurants in Westchester County that has been continuously owned and operated by the same family under the same business name.
In addition to the Cortlandt Colonial Manor, George also developed the Holiday Inn Express hotel in Peekskill, NY.
