Cortlandt Man Faces Rape, Drug, Gun Charges After Search
The New York State Police Special Operations and Response Team was in on the search warrant.

CORTLANDT, NY — State police arrested a Cortlandt 25-year-old Wednesday on a list of charges including rape, criminal possession of a gun and suspicion of drug dealing. They had apparently been investigating Nicholas Luciano on the rape accusation when they searched his home.
The New York State Police from the Troop K Community Narcotics Enforcement Team (CNET), Special Operations and Response Team (SORT), Troop K Major Crimes Unit, and state police from the Cortlandt barracks executed the search warrant.
Police said they found about 125 grams of marijuana, 2 grams of heroin, 6 grams of cocaine, drug paraphernalia, and an illegally possessed, loaded .40 caliber Smith and Wesson handgun.

Luciano faces charges of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd degree, a class B felony, Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 3rd degree, a class D felony, Rape in the 3rd degree, Criminal Possession of a Firearm, both class E felonies, and Criminal Possession of Marihuana in the 4th degree, a class A misdemeanor.
He was arraigned in the village of Croton-on-Hudson Court, and sent to Westchester County Jail in lieu of $75,000 cash bail or bond. Luciano is next scheduled to appear before the town of Cortlandt Court on Jan. 28.
