
CORTLANDT, NY — A Brooklyn woman is accused of stealing money from someone bank account via telephone transactions.
New York State Police from the Cortlandt barracks arrested Noralisa Diaz on Thursday for Identity Theft in the 1st degree, and Grand Larceny in the 3rd degree, both class D felonies.
The NYSP began an investigation in January about a fraudulent withdrawal of $8,000 from someone's personal bank account. They say their investigation determined Diaz transferred the money between multiple accounts via telephone transactions. Diaz was then located with the assistance of the NYPD 88th Precinct, and subsequently arrested on May 17, 2018.

The 30-year-old was arraigned before the town of Cortlandt Court and sent to the Westchester County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash bail or $10,000 bond.
