DWI Arrests In Peekskill, Cortlandt

State police in Troop K removed 17 impaired drivers from public roadways over the March 2 weekend.

State police from Troop K reported arrests over the weekend of 17 people accused of driving while impaired. That included arrests in Cortlandt and Peekskill and the arrest of a Cortlandt resident in Putnam County.

  • On March 2, State Police from SP Brewster arrested Juan C. Ramos Mendez, 23, of Cortlandt, NY, for DWI and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation, both misdemeanors. He was traveling on Danbury Road in the town of Southeast, when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. Investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, police alleged.
  • On March 2, State Police from SP Cortlandt arrested Stanley C. Fairley, 34, of Yonkers, NY, for Aggravated DWI. He was traveling on State Route 9 in the city of Peekskill, when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. Investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, police alleged.
  • On March 3, State Police from SP Cortlandt arrested Richard P. Cantor, 49, of Ossining, NY, for DWI. He was traveling on State Route 9 in the town of Cortlandt, when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. Investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, police alleged.
