DWI Charge is Felony for Cortlandt Man

Police said he had been convicted of DWI five years ago.

PEEKSKILL, NY — New York State Police from the Cortlandt barracks arrested Sean M. Culleton Sunday and charged him with felony Driving While Intoxicated. The troopers had stopped the Cortlandt resident for speeding on Route 9. They then concluded that he was intoxicated at the time of the stop.

Culleton, 34, was charged with felony rather than misdemeanor DWI after a criminal history check revealed a previous DWI related conviction from 2012, police said.

Culleton was issued traffic tickets directing him to appear in the City of Peekskill Court on July 6, 2017.
