Engaging Children in Programs That Foster Creative Expression, Critical Thinking and Joy!

New Era Creative Space in Peekskill, NY. Open for Summer Registration. Creative Programs for children and youth. Art, STEM, Leadership...

New Era Creative Space (NECS) is a community center in Peekskill with the mission of enriching the lives of children and teens by helping them develop lifelong interests and skills through the engagement creative activities.

Through collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team of local organizations and individuals, NECS offers programs that are creative, experiential, promotes critical thinking skills and a sense of citizenship. Now in it’s fourth year, NECS’s goals continues to be to provide classes that stimulates curiosity, fosters joy, love of learning and creative exploration in order to nurture the next generation of visionary thinkers.

NECS was founded by Ridvan Foxhall and came into existence in response to the growing dissatisfaction by parents and teachers of current educational standards and practices that focusses on tests with little emphasis on critical thinking and creativity. The issue being voiced by many parents we’ve encounter is how children are disengaged, stressed and not enjoying learning.
