11 a.m. - 12 p.m.: Working Together to Ensure Safety in the Autism Community. Join us for an open forum to discuss ways to protect and ensure the welfare of children and adults affected by autism. Our community first responders – police officers, firefighters, emergency medical team workers and hospital emergency room doctors and nurses – are the first ones we encounter when faced with emergencies – they want to know what we need, as much as we want them to know how to help our children – join the discussion on how we can work together for the benefit of all! Welcoming Remarks by DCMH Commissioner Grant Mitchell, MD.
