The public is invited to see this charming, humerous (2000) movie about romance, temptation, and tolerance which passed under the critics' radar to become a big public hit. With a strong starring and supporting cast, the story takes place in a small French town and puts temptation in the form of a new choclolate shop opened during Lent in opposition to the traditional religious Lenten abstinence that the town's leaders are trying to maintian. It also has a romance component. The issue of tolerance of people (gypsies) who are different than us is also addressed. Bring along a portable chair or blanket and join us under the stars for this free outdoor summer event on the church lawn. Rated PG-13.
