Fellow Piano Aficionados,

We are having another world class musical event at our piano factory to which we cordially invite you. Join us for the kick off concert in the third annual “Italian Jazz Days” series with internationally renowned pianist Antonio Ciacca leading his quintet in a special performance before taking the show to Lincoln Center. To help celebrate Ford Piano’s century old dedication to “building pianos and making musicians”, Antonio, a respected Julliard professor will be conducting a day long jazz workshop at our piano factory. Whether you come to the workshop and / or the concert, October 1st will surely prove to be another musical event at the Ford Piano factory that should not be missed.

Peekskill, NY – Saturday, October 1, 2011 - The night air will be filled with spicy, sweet sounds when respected jazz pianist, composer and educator, Antonio Ciacca leads his quintet in the opening concert of the month long “Italian Jazz Days” series. A day long free jazz workshop at Ford Piano factory shows why Peekskill, this little gem of a city on the banks of the Hudson, is fast becoming the music capital of Westchester. “These cats can really blow!” says John Ford, third generation owner of Ford Piano. “This workshop is a rare and possibly once in a lifetime opportunity for local musicians and students to receive one on one lessons, attend master classes, and participate in ensemble rehearsals with some of the world’s finest musicians.” Showing his love for the music, Ciacca says, “I have always been so grateful for my own musical mentors in jazz, and it is an honor for me to continue this great jazz tradition in Peekskill.”
