Peekskill MIddle School Mural Dedication

The Peekskill City School District invites you to the dedication of the B. James Thornley mural “Technology Advancement”painted in 1934 as part of the Federal Art Project of the Works Progress Administration.

The ceremony will take place at the new Peekskill Middle School in the main lobby on Tuesday, October 4 at 5:00 p.m.

The mural was located in the former Peekskill High School/Peekskill Middle School from 1934 to 2007, and has been reinstalled in the new Peekskill Middle School 

thanks to the generous support of Dr. Bernard Yudowitz, Peekskill High School Class of 1951.

The dedication will be followed by the Peekskill Board of Education regular meeting.
