April 10th is "Encourage a Young Writer Day," and p0et and creative writing instructor Cindy Beer-Fouhy will be holding Young Writers Poetry Workshops for kids.
Fun and engaging, the workshops will inspire and encourage young poets.

"The Young Writers Poetry Workshops are recommended for children who love to write poetry," says Beer-Fouhy. "Through prompts and interactive exercises, students will discover how to organize and express their thoughts, feelings and ideas as they write original poems and share their work in a fun, encouraging atmosphere. "
Cindy Beer-Fouhy earned a BA in English from CCNY and an MS Ed from Lehman College. She is NY State Certified in English (grades 6 -12) and Early Childhood. From 1995 – 2005, she was Founder and Director of Literary Arts at The Northern Westchester Center for the Arts in Mt. Kisco. She created and developed curriculum for creative writing programs and facilitated workshops for ages 6 – adult Cindy studied poetry writing with Molly Peacock, Billy Collins and Ron Price. Her poetry has been widely published in literary journals and aired on Cable TV. She is currently a freelance writer, arts consultant and the President of Public Eye Publicity.
